We are seeking a dedicated Patient Access Representative to join our dynamic team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care by proactively coordinating prescription and authorization processes with medical offices and insurance providers. Your daily responsibilities will include maintaining clear communication channels with physicians, practice staff, payer representatives, and patients to guarantee accurate documentation and timely service scheduling.

Key ResponsibilitiesInitiate prescription and authorization requests, ensuring timely renewal and necessary changes.
Follow up with medical offices and insurance companies to track request status.
Address patient, medical office, and insurance company inquiries regarding Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN) and Participating Provider (PAR).
Regularly verify patient eligibility for continued services.
Meet established daily, monthly, and quarterly metrics and goals.
Maintain compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.
Two years of experience in a related administrative or customer service role, preferably in healthcare or a medical office setting.
Preferred qualifications include an Associates Degree in medical office management, medical insurance, or medical coding.
Familiarity with insurance authorization, precertification, home health, DME, and Enteral nutrition products is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
Strong math, accounting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Adaptability to changing priorities and environments.
Prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
