I love essential oils. I use them for some many different things.

I use them for sleep support, energy support, and to boost my immune system. But sometimes I just want use them like a perfume to make me smell good.

Usually I’ll just end up grabbing some lavender or tangerine and dabbing a few drops on my wrists or I’ll use my DIY body sprays.

But this morning I actually spent some time creating and putting together DIY roll on perfume blends and let me tell you, they are amazing!

They smell so good! And they are perfect for throwing in your purse and using on the go.

I used to be obsessed with store bought perfume and body spray but a few years ago I actually ended up throwing away every synthetic perfume and body spray I owned.

Most perfumes and body sprays on the market today deliver numerous petroleum-based synthetic toxins into our bodies.

Although, many fragrances have a floral or fruity scent you might be surprised to know many perfumes contain little to no natural ingredients. Many of the scents are created in a lab.

Pyridine, benzophenone, methyleugenol, and styrene are just a few of the toxic chemicals that are in most perfumes and synthetic fragrances.

These chemicals are known to disrupt hormones, cause reproductive and fertility problems, cause neurological degeneration and so much more!

And that is just the chemicals we know about!

Perfume ingredients do not need to be disclosed because they are protected under the U.S. Fair Packaging and Label Act because they are considered trade secrets.Read this post for more info!

I’m at the point in my life where I just choose to make my own DIY products rather than worry about all the junk in store bought items.

I’m over it! Until companies decide to use better ingredients and are also more transparent in regards to the ingredients they use, I’ll continue to make my own products.

It’s just not worth it!

DIY Roll On Perfume Ingredients

To make your own homemade roll on perfume you’ll need the following ingredients and supplies.

How To Make DIY Perfume at Home

To make DIY perfume with essential oils simply follow the directions below.

I used 5ml bottles to make these perfume rollers. You can use 10ml if you’d like. Just make sure to double the amount of essential oil if you decide to try one of my custom blends below.

Dried flowers are completely optional. I just used them for aesthetics. I think they make roller blends look so beautiful.

If you decide to use dried flowers, the first thing you’ll want to do is add a few pinches to the roller bottle.

These blends are very light but definitely noticeable.

If the blends are not strong enough for you, you can increase the number of drops. Just be sure to keep the ratios the same.

Keep in mind we tend to notice scents on others a lot more than we notice scents on ourselves. So try not to get too carried away 🙂

How To Use DIY Roll On Perfume

To use this DIY roll on perfume simply roll on your collar bone and wrist area. I don’t recommend rubbing your wrists together though. If you want the scent to last longer it’s best to let it air dry.

How Long Does DIY Perfume Last?

The scent tends to only last a few hours. So feel free to reapply as often as needed.

Also be sure to use only 100% pure essential oils. Not only is it dangerous to use synthetic oils but the scent won’t be as strong and it won’t last as long.

Plus, if you’re going to use synthetic you might as well keep buying store-bought perfumes and body sprays.

High quality essential oils don’t have to cost a lot. I use Florihana, Plant TherapyandSimply Earthessential oils. They are all amazing and very affordable.
